Mahasivaratri was celebrated with pomp at Tiruvannamalai. Seen here are pictures of the Lingothbavar Abhishekam. The shrine’s entrance was colourfully decorated and music played through the event. The Lord was taken on procession and then the abhishekam was performed.

In a divine observance today, January 25th, the Thaipusam Festival was celebrated at the Thiruvannamalai temple dedicated to Lord Sri Arunachaleswarar. As part of the auspicious occasion, a special ‘Theerthavari’ was conducted at the temple tank. Devotees actively participated in the event, witnessing the idol of Lord Sri Arunachaleswarar being carried in a procession.
