Karthigai Deepam 2022 : Maha Deepam lit a top Annamalaiyar Hills
The sacred Maha Deepam was lit at 6 PM (on Tuesday, December 6th) at the mountain peak as the climax of the grand Karthigai Deepam festival currently underway at the Tiruvannamalai Lord Arunachaleswarar temple. Lakhs of devotees attended this grand occasion and prayed the Maha Deepam.

Owing to the auspicious day of Karthigai Deepam festival 2022, Thiruvannamalai Arunachaleswarar temple was opened this morning and special Abishegam and Dheeparathanai were done.
