No permission for Girivalam from 15 & 16 February 2022

The district administration has announced a ban on Girivalam in Tiruvannamalai from 15 & 16 February 2022

In a notification released, the collector has mentioned:

“Lockdown conditions a prevailing in the State of Tamil Nadu at present as a measure to prevent the extent/impact of the raging third wave of the coronavirus pandemic and its variant Omicron!

However, Thiruvannamalai Girivalam undertaking during the full moon period from 10.30 PM, 15th February (Tuesday) to 11.30 PM, 16th February (Wednesday).

As the lockdown is in imposition, PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS NO PERMISSION FOR THE DEVOTEES TO UNDERTAKE GIRIVALAM ON THE ABOVE-MENTIONED DATES!

As this regulation has been undertaken with the primary objectives of checking and preventing the spread of the raging third wave of coronavirus pandemic and its variant Omicron and also to ensure the safety of the public/devotees, they are requested TO EXTEND THEIR FULLEST COOPERATION TO THIS APPEAL BY NOT UNDERTAKING GIRIVALAM ON ABOVE DAYS!”
