Grand Thirukkarthigai Deepam Festival – Thiruvannamalai – Mahadeepam lit!
December 13, 2019, 11:01 385 viewsThe much-awaited most momentous event of the GRAND 10-day Thiruvannamalai Thirukkarthigai Deepam festival, the lighting of the ‘Maha Deepam’ was performed at 6.00 PM on 10th December.
Prior to the lighting of Maha Deepam, the deities of Panchamurthys (Lord Vinayaga, Lord Muruga, Lord Arunachaleswarar, His Consort Goddess Unnamalaiyamman and Lord Chandikeswarar) along with the deity of Lord Arthanareeswarar were taken from their Sanctum Sanctorum and Taken out through the 2nd corridor of the temple to the Mandapam to offer Darshan to the enormous gathering of devotees.
