Festival begins with flag hoisting at Tiruvannamalai Annamalaiyar Temple on Karthikai Deepam 2024.

The hugely popular Deepam festival at the Lord Arunchaleswarar temple in Thiruvannamalai commenced Today (Wednesday, 04th December) with the divine flag-hoisting ceremony!

Subsequent to the divine flag-hoisting ceremony, the idols of the Panchamurthys were brought to the 16-pillar Mandapam at 10.00 AM to offer Darshan to the devotees!

After this, the idols of Lord Arunchaleswarar and His Divine Consort Goddess Unnamulai Amman were taken on a procession in the Velli Vimanam (Silver Carriage) and the deities of Lord Vinayaka, Goddess Parasakthi Amman, Lord Subramanya, and Chandikeswarar were carried on a glass carriage on a procession offering Darshan to a large number of devotees!
