Amavasai Pradosham for the month of Avani was held at the Tiruvannamalai temple. Abhishekam was done for the Nandi statue and the Lord and his consort were taken out in procession for the darshan of devotees. Seen here are photographs of the function.

On 12th August,the sacred event of lighting the lamp (kuthuvilakku) and performing Kuthuvilakku Pooja was done in the THirukkalyana Mandapam located in the third corridor of the Lord Arunchaleswarar Temple in Thiruvannamalai Thousands of devotees participated in the kuthuvilakku lighting ceremony and had the Darshan of Lord Sri Arunchaleswarar!

The Divine ‘Flag Hoisting’ ceremony for the celebration of the Aadi Pooram Festival (The day on which the star ‘pooram’ falls in the Tamil Calendar month of Aadi which is considered a sacred month) was performed in front of the Sanctum Sanctorum of the Goddess Unnamulaiyamman on the golden flag-pillar today (Saturday , 23rd July) at the famous Lord Arunchaleswarar temple in Thiruvannamalai.
