Adi Brahmotsavam – Day 10 celebration
On the 10th day of the Adi Brahmotsavam celebrated at Thiruvannamalai (Monday, 1st August ) the deity of Goddess Paraasakthi Amman was carried on the carriage of the holy cow Kamadhenu and taken in a procession on the temple corridor streets. A lot if devotees attended the celebration. After this the night, the event of the devotees walking over the flowers was performed in a grand manner!!
Aadi Pooram : Goddess Parasakthi Amman Valaikappu Festival
On the occasion of Aadi Pooram – Special Abhishekam and Deppaaraadhanai were performed on the deity of Goddess Parasakthi Amman in the ‘Valaikappu Mandapam’ located in the 5th corridor of the temple!
Arulmigu Om Arunachaleswarar Thirukovil Aadipooram flag hoisting ceremony
The Divine ‘Flag Hoisting’ ceremony for the celebration of the Aadi Pooram Festival (The day on which the star ‘pooram’ falls in the Tamil Calendar month of Aadi which is considered a sacred month) was performed in front of the Sanctum Sanctorum of the Goddess Unnamulaiyamman on the golden flag-pillar today (Saturday , 23rd July) at the famous Lord Arunchaleswarar temple in Thiruvannamalai.
