Thiruvannamalai Deepam 2013 around 20 lakhs gathering at Annamalaiyar Temple

The famous temple of  Thiruvannamalai not only for its spirituality but also for its celebration of Karthigai Deepam (Maha Deepam) at early morning today the Barani Deepam was lighted in the premises of the temple. Approximately more than 20 lakhs devotees are waiting at thiruvannamalai to see the Maha Deepam which is to be lit in the top of Thiruvannamalai Hill.

In the evening (6:00 pm) at the dark the lighted  Deepam will look like which is from the sky in the form of agni god blesses his devotees.

For Karthigai Deepam some of 100 special buses were being transported said by transport officials. Many devotees are waiting at the foot hills to watch the maha deepam inside the temple premises and also at the hill top.
