Maha Kumbhabhishekam at Annamalaiyar Temple gets completed

The grand Maha Kumbhabhishekam of the famous Annamalaiyar Temple with the main deity Lord Annamalaiyar and his consort Sri Unnamulaiamman, which commenced on 6th February, was completed on Sunday, 26th March with Mandalabhishekham after a period of 48 days.

On Saturday, 25th March, the Mandalalabhishekham started with Mudhal Kala Pooja in the night. On Sunday, 26th March, the Irandam Kala Pooja was performed in the morning at the temple in the presence of the Joint Commissioner Ms C. Haripriya.

Pooranagathi and Deeparadhanai were performed for the Temple Domes (Kalasams) in the 2nd corridor of the temple.

After this, the Sivachariyars carried the sacred pots and special Abhishekas were performed in the 1st Corridor of the temple for the festival deities of Lord Arunachaleeswarar, His Consort Sri Unnamulaiyamman, and Lord Ganapathy, and Lord Muruga with His Consort Valli and Deivanai.
