The presiding deity was taken around in a procession along the temple corridors and the streets around the temple offering special Darshan to the thousands of devotees who gathered for this special occasion.
The main deity of the temple was decorated in an exquisite manner with special garlands offering the devotees a ‘festival for the eyes and hearts.
The devotees had their heartful Darshan of their deity and prayed on this special day when Sundarar Deepa Aarashanai was performed.

The ritual of walking-on-fire (Theemidhi vizha) was conducted in front of the sanctum sanctorum of the Goddess.

After Theerthavari, Parasakthi Amman arrives at Valaigaappu mandapam at 04.00 pm where special Pooja are done. At 05.00 pm, Valaigaappu took place and at 06.00 pm, Madaveedhi and at 11.00 pm, Thee midhi Thiruvizha took place.
