Special Abhishekham performed for deities in Thiruvannamalai temple on 7th September
0 Comments/in News & Events/by livechennaiOn the Friday of 7th September, on the New Moon Pradosham Day in the Tamil calendar month of Aavani, special abhishekhams were performed in the following sanctum sanctorums of all the deities in the famous Thiruvannamalai temple of the Lord Arunachaleswarar:
The smaller Nandhi located in the 1st corridor Pradosha Mandapam
Saravilakku Nandhi located in the 2nd corridor
Nandhi located in the flag-tree in the 3rd corridor
The smaller Nandhi located in the 4th corridor opposite the parrot temple tower (Kili Gopuram)
The larger nandhi located in the 5th corridor opposite Vallaal Maharaja temple tower (Gopuram).
The research conference of the famous 63 Saivait saints, known as Nayanmars, is scheduled at 7.30 PM opposite the Raja Gopuram.
Karthigai Deepam Panthakal Festival at Thiruvannamalai Temple
0 Comments/in Deepam 2018, News & Events/by livechennaiDurga Festival is to be celebrated during the Thirukkarthigai Brahmotsavam from 11th November to 27th November. The holy occasion of setting up the wooden pillars for the festival was celebrated today morning (Monday, 27th August).
A special Abhishekham and Deeparadhanai were performed for the setting up of the wooden pillars for the Karthigai Brahmotsavam at the Sanctum Sanctorum of the Lord Sambandha Vinayakar located in the 3rd corridor of the Thiruvannamalai temple.
Subsequently, with Pichagar Raghu carried the wooden pillar base in presence of the temple joint commissioner Gnanasekaran and the Tamil Nadu State government Minister Sevur Ramachandran, special Deeparadhanai was performed for the Maharaths.
After this, the wooden pillars were installed.
Aadi pooram festival gets completed

There was a fire-walking event conducted in the 3rd corridor of the temple yesterday at midnight in front of the mandapam at the sanctum sanctorum of the Goddess Amman.
Celebrations at Thiruvannamalai Temple – Aadi Pooram Festival

Teerthavari’ was performed on the Sivagangai water-pond located in the 5th corridor of the Thiruvannamalai temple with the presence of the deity of the Goddess Sri Parasakthi Amman.
The ‘valaikaappu’ event will be performed on the deity of the Goddess Parasakthi Amman at 5.00 PM (today, Monday, 13th August).
The ‘fire-walking’ event will be conducted tonight in front of the sanctum sanctorum of the Amman.
