Tamil New year’s Day – almanac released in a function at the Thruvannamalai temple!

In the temple of Lord Annamalaiyar with His Consort Goddess Sri Unnamulai Amman, on the occasion of the Tamil New Year’s Day, the new alamanc (New Year’s Panchangam) was offered to the Deities in the Sanctum Sanctorum of the Lord Sambandha Vinayagar situated at the 3rd corridor of the temple on 14th April, Tuesday. During the function, after the offer of the new almanac to the deities, the temple Sivacharyas read the new Almanac.

Karthi Gurukkal, Murthy Gurukkal, Raju Gurukkal, Keerthivasan Gurukkal, Gokul Gurukkal and Thirukkoil Maniyam Karunanidhi participatedin the function.

After Panguni Uthiram Divine Marriage festival, other events performed in the Lord Arunachaleswarar Thiruvannamalai temple

Following the grand festival of the Panguni Uthiram Divine Marriage, the 5th day event of ‘Pali viduthal’ was performed in the 2nd Corridor of the temple near the Sanctum Sanctorum of the Lord Periyanayakar by the Sivachariyars of the Thiruvannamalai Lord Arunchaleswarar temple.

Usually, this divine event of ‘Pali Viduthal’ is performed at the Thmaraikkulam banks. In the present lockdown imposed situation, this time ‘Pali Viduthal’ was performed within the temple complex and Pali was offered in the Brahma Theertham in the 4th Corridor near the Sanctum Sanctorum of the Lord Kala Bhairvar.

Events at the Lord Arunachaleswarar temple – Thiruvannamalai

The divine marriage ceremony of the Lord Annamalaiyar with His Consort was performed at the Lord Arunachaleswarar temple in Thiruvannamalai and after the divine marriage, other associate events such as Nalangu, then the adornment of the deities, and then Deeparadhanai were performed in the temple.

Special Abhishekham and Thirukkalayanam performed (6th April) at Thiruvannamalai temple!

On the occasion of the Panguni Uthiram (the day on which the star of Uthram falls during the Tamil calendar month of Panguni), which is considered as an auspicious day as per Tamil Almanac, falling on 6th April (Monday, yesterday), special Abhishekham was performed on the main deity of the temple and ‘Thirukkalaynam’ (divine marriage ceremony) was performed at the 2nd Temple corridor for the deities of Lord Somaskandhar and His Consrort Parasakthi Amman in the famous temple of Lord Annamalaiyar with His Consort Goddess Unnamulai Amman.
