Aadi pooram festival gets completed
The sacred and grandly celebrated Aadi pooram festival was celebrated with full splendour at the Thiruvannamalai temple and the festival got completed.
There was a fire-walking event conducted in the 3rd corridor of the temple yesterday at midnight in front of the mandapam at the sanctum sanctorum of the Goddess Amman.
Celebrations at Thiruvannamalai Temple – Aadi Pooram Festival
On the 10th day of the Aadi Pooram (the day on which the star of Pooram falls on the Tamil calendar month of Aadi),
Teerthavari’ was performed on the Sivagangai water-pond located in the 5th corridor of the Thiruvannamalai temple with the presence of the deity of the Goddess Sri Parasakthi Amman.
The ‘valaikaappu’ event will be performed on the deity of the Goddess Parasakthi Amman at 5.00 PM (today, Monday, 13th August).
The ‘fire-walking’ event will be conducted tonight in front of the sanctum sanctorum of the Amman.
