The temple administration of Lord Arunchaleswarar temple has announced that the ideal time to undertake Girivalam is from 8.35 AM (Wednesday) before 9.33 AM (Thursday)!

The sacred Maha Deepam was lit at 6 PM (on Tuesday, December 6th) at the mountain peak as the climax of the grand Karthigai Deepam festival currently underway at the Tiruvannamalai Lord Arunachaleswarar temple. Lakhs of devotees attended this grand occasion and prayed the Maha Deepam.
