Temple is an externalized aspect of faith, and it is a place to restore peace and harmony. What great seers have visualized has been made outwardly real in a temple.

This temple is safely edifice consecrated to the Lord of Light and other deities, built centuries ago at the foot of the hill to form the seat of worship.

Throughout the history of mankind spiritual giants have appeared on very rare occasions to exemplify the Highest Truth.

Ramana Maharishi was born on December 30, 1879, in a small village near Madurai in Tamilnadu.

Venkataramana had his schooling in his native village and his high school education in Madurai.

Parvathamalai is located at Thenmahadevamangalam village which is about 20 kms off Polur. Polur is some 35 kms north of Thiru Annamalai (Arunachala).

Near 35 Km away from Thiruvannamalai on the east is a fort once ruled by Raja Desingh and his successors, and now in its irrecoverable ruins
