0 Comments/in Deepam 2017, News & Events/by livechennaiOn the 5th night of the Grand Thiru karthigai Deepam festival being celebrated in the Thiruvannamalai temple, the deity of the Panchamurthys were taken on a procession and – Lord Vinayaka on the carriage of silver mooshika (mouse), Lord Subramanya along with His Cosorts Valli and Deivanai on the carriage of silver peacock, Lord Periyanayaka on the carriage of silver rishabha (bull), His consort Ambal on the carriage of a smaller silver rishabha (bull), and Lord Chandikeshwarar on the carriage of a smaller silver rishabha – offered Darshan to thousands of devotees.

0 Comments/in Deepam 2017, News & Events/by livechennaiDuring the night of the 4th day of the grand Thirukkarthigai Deepam festival at Thiruvannamalai, the wondrous Darshan of the deity of the Lord Periya Nayakar being shifted (by the temple staff) and seated on the special carriage of the silver Kamadehnu-Kalpaka Viruksham during the preparations for the special Deeparadhana for the Panchamurthis and then to be taken on a procession.

0 Comments/in Deepam 2017, News & Events/by livechennaiOn the 3rd day of the festival, during the night, the special Ratha vilakku Deeparadhanai and Panchamuga Deeparadhanai were performed for the deities of Lord Priyanayakar, His Consorts Uma and Kandhar, Lord Vinayaka, Lord Subramanya, with His Consorts Valli and Deivanai, and Goddess Ambal in the form of Lalthambigai, and Lord Chandkeswarar.
After the special Deeparadhanais, the deities were then taken on a procession from the Thirukkalayana Mandapam, along the Mada Veedhis with the deities of the Lord on the carriage of Simmam (lion) and His Consort Ambal on the carriage of annam (swan), and Lord Chandkeshwara on the carriage of Rishabam (bull).

The event of Thiruvizha Undial (Festival Hundi) was performed at the 3rd corridor near the Kodimaram (flag-tree).
