Sacred festive events in Thiruvannamalai Lord Arunachaleswarar temple
The Divine Flag-Hoisting Ceremony on the sacred occasion of the commencement of ‘Utharayana’ sacred period was performed in the Thiruvannamalai |Lord Arunachaleswarar Temple on |Tuesday, 5th |January.
Deepaaradhanai was performed in the Sanctum Sancto4rum of Chinna |Nayakar Parasakthi Amman and the deity was then taken to the front of the divine tree-pole. Then the Sivacharyas hoisted the divine fag for the above occasion.
The deity of the Lord Vinayakar Swami was taken in a procession on the temple corridor streets after a gap of 10 months!

Early Morning -‘Special Abhishekham’ was performed on the deities of Lord Nataraja along with His Consort Sivakamasundari early morning after the deities were brought to the ‘Aayiram Mandapam’
9.05 AM – After performing Deepaaradhanai, the deity was applied with the ‘Deepa mai’ (the charred ashes from the wicks of the divine lamp) and then after a gap of 10 months, the deity was taken on a procession on the Saint Manickavasagar corridor via the Thirumanjana Gopuram.
