Events at Lord Arunachaleswarar temple at Thiruvannamalai – Occasion of Arudhra Darisanam!

On the special sacred occasion of the Arudhra Darisanam, the deities of Lord Nataraja and His Consort Goddess Sivakami Amman were taken from the ‘Aayiramkaal Mandapam’ in the temple and blessed the thousands of devotees by offering Darshan on the corridor after being taken out on a procession on the corridor streets of the Lord Arunachaleswarar temple.

Thiruvannamalai Temple: Devotees permitted for Darshan during the Full Moon Day in the month of Margazhi!

Devotees have been permitted to visit the Lord Arunachaleswarar Temple at Thiruvannamalai for Darshan during the Full Moon Day (Pournami) in the sacred Tamil Calendar Month of Margazhi.

Following this, there has been a teeming crowd of devotees for Darshan at the famous Thiruvannamalai Lord Arunachaleswarar temple!

Devotees banned from undertaking Girivalam’ during the Full Moon Day in the month of Margazhi!

The District Collector of Thiruvannamalai has announced that the devotees are banned from undertaking girivalam (Traditionally, the devotees undertake a walking trip around the bottom of the sacred Thiruvannamalai Mountain and then have Darshan of the Lord Arunachaleswarar) during the Full Moon Day (Pournami) occasion in the Tamil Calendar Month of Margazhi on 18th & 19th December@!

Manickavaasagar Festival at Thiruvannamalai

One of the 63 Saivite Nayanmars, Manickavassagar’s festival was celebrated at the Thiruvannamalai temple of Lord Arunachaleswarar. The idol of the Nayanmar Manickavasagar was taken on a procession on the corridor streets of the temple at Thiruvannamalai.

The deities of Lord Nataraja and His Consort Goddess Sivakamsundari were adorned especially for this occasion and Deeparadhanai was performed.
