The Collector of the District of Thioruvannamalai has ordered a ban on undertaking ‘Girivalam’ on the occasion of the Full Moon Day (Pournami) at the Om Arunachaleswarar Temple from 3.12 AM on 28th March (Monday) until 1.18 AM on 29th March (Tuesday). This ban is a preventive measure taken against the fast-spreading resurgent coronavirus pandemic!
