Aadi Pooram’ Festival concludes at Thiruvannamalai Lord Arunachaleswarar temple!

The traditional celebrations on the occasion of the state ‘pooram’ occurring in the Tamil calendar month of Aadi, considered to be sacred, were celebrated at the famous temple of Lord Arunachaleswarar at Thiruvannamalai. Aadi Pooram festival concluded.

The deity of the Lord and His Consort Goddess Parasakthi Amman was taken to the 5th Corridor of the temple on the banks of the Sivagangai Thheerthakkari’ Special ‘Theerthavaari was performed.

After the Theerthavaari, the deity of the Goddess Parasakthi Amman was taken to the Amman Valaikappu Mandapam and then, the deity was especially adorned and special Abhishekham and Deeparadhanai were performed. After this, at 4.00 PM the ‘Valaikappu’ function was performed on the deity of the Goddess Parasakthi Amman.
